Pope Benedict urged world leaders to seek “lasting, sustainable and just solutions” to the numerous economic and social problems facing the world as the Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank governors gathered in Seoul, South Korea, Nov. 11-12.
In a letter to South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, who also is president of the summit, the pope told the G-20 leaders he was hopeful that the solutions adopted will achieve “the authentic and integral development of man.”
