Bishop Colin Campbell, bishop emeritus of Antigonish, died Jan. 17.

Campbell, 80 at the time of his death, had retired in October 2002 for health reasons.

He had been bishop of Antigonish since 1987.

Prior to that, he served four years as national director the English sector of the Pontifical Mission Societies for Canada.
