I am starting to get worried about our Supreme Court. First of all, we have no law on abortion, and that has continued since the court struck down the abortion law Jan. 28, 1988.

The elderly, the preborn, and those with mental or physical handicaps all need our protection.

When you are young and healthy, you think you are bulletproof and, in most cases, you are. But you never know what direction your life might turn.

The Gospels stress the need to look after widows and orphans, and the least of our brothers and sisters. "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, you do it to me."

Scripture also says, "The last shall be first, and the first shall be last." So those who push their way to the front may eventually end up at the back of the line. The abortionists, abortion nurses and those imposing this culture of death on Canadian society will be in for a rude awakening someday.

Our Lord loved the widow who gave her mite. She was weak and vulnerable, yet she gave all she had. To push someone out of life before they are ready and prepared is a grave injustice.

Many of us may end up weak and frail at the mercy of the medical establishment. The Hippocratic Oath states a doctor or medical person should do no harm to their patient.

We need to bring back the Hippocratic Oath, which predates Christianity and until recently was an oath taken by medical people in Canada.

I don't like this brave new world that is being foisted upon us. Just remember, those of you who play God, there is a God, but it's not you.
