The Catholic Women's League of Edmonton has been assisting the staff of the Marian Centre in serving meals to the poor since the centre opened in 1955.
CAMROSE – Since 1921, the Catholic women of Camrose have been held together by their ties of faith and a bond of common service. Wherever they saw a need or were asked to help, these members leaped in with both feet.
EDMONTON – CWL member Sandra King describes some of the various ways the CWL has extended support to Newman Theological College and St. Joseph Seminary over the years.

Anne Laskosky knew absolutely no one when she and her family moved to Camrose in 1966.
But then the ladies from the local CWL came to visit.
Since Catholic Social Services was launched in Edmonton in 1961, the Catholic Women's League has been supportive.
Pope Benedict XVI has appointed the Fr. Gregory Bittman as Auxiliary Bishop of Edmonton. He will assist Edmonton Archbishop Richard Smith, who is also President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
A new Auxiliary Bishop has been appointed for the Edmonton Archdiocese.
