The First Communion class at Wainwright's Blessed Sacrament Parish marked the end of their sacramental preparation by depicting Leonardo da Vinci's painting The Last Supper. Most of the children received their First Communion on May 4. The costumes were made of scraps of fabric. After the children were shown a copy of da Vinci's painting, they were allowed to dress themselves in whatever way they felt was most authentic.
