Article comforts foes of renewed liturgy

Church should not support irresponsible leadership

When I saw the front page story in the WCR (“Churches line up to support fasting aboriginal chief,” WCR, Jan. 14), I thought I would get an unbiased account of just what is going on in Attawapiskat and why this woman is fasting on fish soup and herbal tea.

Acheson too negative about Catholic schools

John Acheson (WCR, Dec 17) presents a very negative view of what Catholic education should provide. He wants our schools to instruct our students in all the social ills, even though experience tells us that this approach is rarely successful with young people.

De Souza's bombast undermines bishops' work
