Thank you Ramon Gonzalez and the WCR for your wonderful article on the death of Father Vic Perron, a very dear friend (“Shy Fr. Perron gave spirited homilies,” WCR, April 1).

Mrs. D’Agostino, Mr.Lavender and Mrs. Tobias-Fisher spoke accurately of Father Perron – “he would rest in the Mass; he wasn’t anxious or uncomfortable; he was very respectful in the Mass.”

Father Perron had a great love for the Divine Mercy of Jesus and a beautiful devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was reflected in his wonderful sermons of instruction that were always according to the Church’s magisterium and teachings.

He used Redemptionis Sacramentum as a source and recommended reading as well as trying to follow the example of St. Faustina’s Diary.

Father Perron was a good role model for a young priest and for men discerning for the priesthood. Thank you Father Perron, God bless you and rest in peace dear friend.
